I am well aware that we are already almost half way through March but because I have only just started my blog this is just the way my March To Be Read is going to work. This month I have started university and life is a little hectic with all that plus a part-time job so my reads for this month are going to only be a few and hopefully I will get them read so I can give some feedback on them.
My first TBR is 'The Lovely Bones' by Alice Sebold. This is the book that I am currently reading and I was drawn to read this book after my Mum and I watched the second half of this movie on the weekend and I needed to know where it all happened. It follows a girl looking down at her life, her murder and her family after her death from heaven. It's a little bit eerie so I hope I don't have nightmares! This is a bit more Adult fiction where usually I read in the Young Adult fiction category so I think I'm growing up (haha jokes). So far I'm loving it so stay tuned for more on this one!
The next TBR for March is one I'm a little late reading and I have already seen the movie. It's part of a series, specifically a trilogy, and all three have been or are being made into major motion films... 'Divergent' by Veronica Roth is the book I'm talking about and I have high hopes. I loved the movie and I've also loved books of similar nature so hopefully it'll be a good one! I'm thinking that the genre is very similar to 'The Hunger Games' and sort of like 'The Mortal Instruments' but maybe with a bit less fantasy and I loved both of these series so fingers crossed.
My final TBR for this month is 'Pennies for Hitler' by Jackie French. I haven't heard a lot about this book but I picked it up from Dymocks a few months back. I read Jackie French books when I was a little bit younger but the new range she has out at the moment really interest me. It looks like she is combining a bit of factual history in with a fictional storyline to make some interesting reads. Some of the other titles I have seen include 'A Waltz for Matilda', 'Hitler's Daughter', 'To Love a Sunburnt Country' and 'Nanberry: Black Boy White'. I will definitely try to do a review for this one so you can all see what it was all about!
For now that's all on the agenda and hopefully I'll get them all read in between my uni readings but stay tuned for more exciting things to come.
